Hubbell Q3 Beats, Raises 2025 Outlook
Hubbell reported Q3 2025 net sales of roughly $1.50 billion, up about 4.1% year-over-year, and delivered adjusted EPS of $5.17, topping consensus. Growth was led by Electrical Solutions (sales up double digits, aided by data-center demand) and strength in Grid Infrastructure, while operating margin expanded roughly 30 basis points to about 22.0%. Grid automation sales declined about 18% as fewer smart‑meter projects came online, a notable headwind given the business's size. The company completed acquisitions including Ventev and Nicor that contributed to results, and management raised full‑year adjusted EPS guidance to $18.10–$18.30 (from $17.65–$18.15). Shares traded higher intraday (as much as ~4.9% to $455.34) but showed modest premarket weakness, and analysts cautioned that revenue misses and mixed segment trends make upcoming commentary and order momentum important for sustainability.
