Sony Debuts Trailer for Aronofsky’s 'Caught Stealing'

Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for Darren Aronofsky's crime thriller 'Caught Stealing,' which is set for theatrical release on August 29, 2025. The film stars Austin Butler as Hank Thompson, a former baseball phenom who is unwittingly drawn into 1990s New York City's criminal underworld after agreeing to cat-sit for his punk-rock neighbor Russ, played by Matt Smith. Alongside his girlfriend, played by Zoë Kravitz, Hank must survive a dangerous and chaotic ordeal without knowing why he is being targeted. The ensemble cast also features Regina King, Liev Schreiber, Vincent D’Onofrio, Griffin Dunne, Bad Bunny, and Carol Kane. Adapted by Charlie Huston from his own novel, the film is described by Aronofsky as a fun, adrenaline-soaked roller coaster and a love letter to New York City. This marks Aronofsky’s first feature since 'The Whale' and Butler's first major role since 'Dune: Part Two.'
