Six men aged between 25 and 34 were arrested, and raids across Sydney yielded 30 kilograms of cocaine, $800,000 in cash, firearms, cars, and other valuables. The group is claimed to have operated like a 'government, bank, and economy' within Sydney's criminal underworld, with the street value of the drugs estimated at about $1 billion. These arrests are expected to disrupt the criminal economy significantly and make cocaine harder to find in Sydney. The bust is unrelated to the recent arrest of the mastermind behind the 'Ghost' encrypted app used by criminals for drug deals and contract killings.
