The Cleveland Browns have released quarterback Tyler Huntley after failing to find a trade partner, despite initial rumors of potential trades involving both Huntley and Jameis Winston. Huntley was signed by the Browns in March after serving as Lamar Jackson's primary backup with the Baltimore Ravens, and his release was prompted by the strong preseason performance of second-year quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Huntley, who threw three touchdown passes in the Browns' preseason finale, is expected to be signed by another team soon. The Browns will replace Huntley on their roster by re-signing running back D'Onta Foreman, addressing depth concerns with Nick Chubb starting the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. Additionally, the Browns restructured Deshaun Watson's contract to free up over $35 million in salary-cap space.
