American Wave Machines Plans PerfectSwell Zion Development in Utah

American Wave Machines has announced PerfectSwell® Zion, a new mixed-use surf park and luxury residential project in Washington, Utah, near Zion National Park. The development, in partnership with Desert Lakes LLC, will feature Generation 6 PerfectSwell® surf technology, offering larger and more efficient waves, advanced diagnostics, and sustainability innovations such as upcycling brackish water to conserve fresh resources. The surf park will serve as an anchor for the Zion Shores residential community, providing residents with exclusive perks and surf priority, while being open to the public. The project emphasizes sustainable design by using natural materials for energy dissipation and minimizing fabricated components. Leaders from both American Wave Machines and Desert Lakes expressed enthusiasm for bringing surfing to the area and highlighted the project's commitment to ongoing innovation. PerfectSwell® Zion is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027.
