Man Found Dead After Stabbing Incident

Daniel Leibensperger, 35, was found dead in Jordan Creek, Allentown, eight days after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, Nicole Goeppert, during a domestic dispute in Emmaus on December 18. Goeppert reported that while preparing dinner, an argument escalated, resulting in Leibensperger stabbing her in the back with a pocket knife, which was found lodged in her back up to the handle. Following the attack, Leibensperger fled, prompting police to issue a warrant for his arrest. His body was discovered on December 26 by a passerby, and authorities have indicated that there is no evidence of foul play in his death, though the cause remains under investigation. Goeppert remains hospitalized with serious injuries. The couple has an elementary-aged daughter together.
