Laika Sets October 2025 ParaNorman Theatrical Return

Laika will re-release its 2012 stop-motion film ParaNorman for a one-week theatrical run in October 2025, featuring a newly remastered RealD 3D presentation and traditional 2D screenings. The re-release, announced at the Annecy Animation Festival, will include a new CG animated short titled ParaNorman: The Thrifting, starring Anna Kendrick and Finn Wolfhard. ParaNorman, celebrated for its emotional storytelling and innovative animation, was nominated for Oscar, BAFTA, and Golden Globe awards. International distribution will be managed by Trafalgar Releasing, while Fathom Entertainment will handle the U.S. rollout, with screenings beginning October 23 internationally and October 25 in the U.S. The event is part of Laika's 20th anniversary and follows the successful 2024 re-release of Coraline. Laika aims to introduce ParaNorman's unique blend of heart and family-friendly horror to new and returning audiences.
