Gang Jailed for Conspiracy to Murder Cage Fighter Paul Allen in London

Three men from London—Louis Ahearne, Stewart Ahearne, and Daniel Kelly—have been jailed for plotting to murder Paul Allen, a former cage fighter and convicted participant in the UK's largest cash robbery. Allen was left paralysed after being shot at his home in Woodford Green, north-east London, in 2019. The Old Bailey heard that the trio conducted sophisticated surveillance, including tracking Allen's car and using burner phones and rented vehicles, before carrying out the attack. The judge noted that while the motive for the shooting remains unclear, financial gain was likely involved, and the plot may have included others beyond the convicted men. All three were found guilty of conspiracy to murder, with sentences ranging from 30 to 36 years, and the harm to Allen was described as extremely severe. Allen had previously served time for his role in the £54 million Securitas heist, much of which has never been recovered.
