Clarence Carte Named Sole Suspect in Bindics Case

The investigation into the 2004 homicide of Yolanda Bindics has narrowed to one person of interest, Clarence Carl Carte, the father of her youngest child. Authorities have ruled out former Jamestown Police officer Michael Watson, who was previously considered a suspect, after conducting 176 interviews and reviewing evidence over the past two years. Sheriff James Quattrone revealed that Carte was seen on surveillance footage at a Kwik Fill store across from Bindics' workplace on the night she went missing. Bindics was reported missing on August 10, 2004, and her remains were discovered in 2006, with her death ruled a homicide. The sheriff's office has released new photos of Carte and is seeking additional information from anyone who may have encountered him that night. Investigators emphasize their commitment to closing this nearly two-decade-old cold case.
