Detroit Lions Sign Veteran WR Allen Robinson

The Detroit Lions have signed veteran wide receiver Allen Robinson to their active roster after initially placing him on the practice squad. Robinson, a former Pro Bowl player, brings experience and depth to a receiving corps that includes Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Tim Patrick. He previously played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants, and several other teams, with his best seasons coming with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears. Robinson played one snap in Detroit's recent win over the Arizona Cardinals, but his addition is expected to bolster the Lions' receiving options, especially with tight end Sam LaPorta potentially dealing with an injury. The Lions also added linebacker Abraham Beauplan to the practice squad to fill Robinson's previous spot.
