Teen Sentenced for Killing Bus Driver in Elgin

A 16-year-old boy has been sentenced to four years and four months for fatally assaulting bus driver Keith Rollinson, 58, in Elgin after being denied entry due to intoxication. The attack occurred on February 2, 2024, when the teenager, after filming Rollinson, headbutted him and delivered numerous punches, leading to Rollinson's cardiac arrest. Although initially charged with murder, the youth pleaded guilty to culpable homicide, resulting in a reduced sentence due to his age and early plea.
