Bad Company Guitarist Mick Ralphs Dies at 81
Mick Ralphs, the co-founder and guitarist of the iconic British rock band Bad Company, died at the age of 81. Ralphs was celebrated by bandmates Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke, who praised his songwriting and musicianship, noting his contributions to hits like "Can't Get Enough" and "Feel Like Makin' Love." Bad Company, formed in 1973 from members of bands like Free, Mott The Hoople, and King Crimson, is set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later this year. Separately, Patrick Walden, the indie rock guitarist known for his work with Babyshambles and collaborations with artists such as James Blunt, also died at age 46. Walden was recognized for co-writing Babyshambles' hit "F--- Forever" and was remembered by bandmates and fans for his talent and influence, despite struggles with addiction and legal challenges during his career. Both musicians left significant legacies in their genres, with Bad Company representing classic rock and Walden known for his indie rock contributions.
