Tiverton Woman Dies in Fiery Single-Car Crash on Lake Road

A tragic single-vehicle crash on Lake Road in Tiverton claimed the life of 52-year-old Jennifer M. Sylvia. The accident occurred around 9:53 p.m. when Sylvia's 2014 Subaru Impreza veered off the road, struck a tree, and caught fire. Emergency services arrived to find her trapped inside the engulfed vehicle; despite efforts to rescue her, she was pronounced dead at St. Anne's Hospital shortly after. Authorities believe speed may have been a contributing factor to the crash, which led to a three-hour closure of Lake Road for investigation.
