Man Charged with Stabbing at New Jersey Restaurant

Jose Higinio Ramos Solis, a 34-year-old man from Oakland, was arrested and charged with attempted murder following a stabbing incident at Cafe L'Amore on Thursday afternoon. Police responded to a 911 call around 3 p.m. and found a 53-year-old man with a stab wound to the neck, who was later reported to be in stable condition after being taken to a hospital. Witnesses indicated that an altercation had occurred in the restaurant's kitchen before Ramos Solis allegedly used a chef's knife to stab the victim and fled the scene. He was apprehended shortly after by Oakland police nearby. During his initial court appearance, it was revealed that Ramos Solis is not a U.S. citizen, and an immigration detainer has been lodged against him.
