Doja Cat, Post Malone, Tate McRae Lead 2025 MTV VMAs Performers New York

The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards will take place on September 7 at New York's UBS Arena, hosted by LL Cool J and broadcast live on CBS, MTV, and Paramount+. The star-studded lineup features performances by Doja Cat, Conan Gray, Jelly Roll, Post Malone, and Tate McRae, each bringing new singles or highly anticipated appearances to the VMAs stage. Post Malone returns to perform for the first time since 2018, celebrating his 20 career nominations, while Doja Cat debuts her new single "Jealous Type" live on television. Jelly Roll and Tate McRae, both nominated in multiple categories including Best Alternative and Song of the Year respectively, will also make their main stage debuts, alongside Conan Gray performing his hit "Vodka Cranberry." The event will honor Mariah Carey with the Video Vanguard Award, Busta Rhymes with the Rock The Bells Visionary Award, and Ricky Martin with the Latin Icon Award. Leading the nominations is Lady Gaga with 12 nods, highlighting the competitive and diverse music scene reflected in the new categories introduced this year.
