Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions affecting several counties on September 16 and 17, 2024, as part of maintenance activities aimed at improving power distribution reliability. On September 16, counties such as Lower Kabete, Kinanie, and Maua will experience outages from 9 AM to 5 PM, with specific areas detailed for residents' awareness. Following this, interruptions on September 17 will affect locations across nine counties, including Nairobi, Kiambu, and Mombasa, with varying cut-off times. Residents in the affected areas are urged to plan accordingly to mitigate inconveniences during these outages. Additionally, the City of Cape Town has also scheduled maintenance work leading to power outages on October 4 and 11, 2024, advising residents to stay informed and treat electrical installations as live during the interruptions.
