Michter's Announces 2024 Toasted Barrel Bourbon Release

Michter's Distillery in Louisville, KY, is set to release its 2024 bottling of US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Bourbon in September, marking the 10th anniversary of the toasted barrel finish category it pioneered. The bourbon begins with fully matured US*1 Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon, which is then transferred to a second barrel made of 18-month air-dried wood for further aging, enhancing its unique flavor profile. Michter’s President Joseph J. Magliocco noted the groundbreaking nature of their initial release, while Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson highlighted the diverse flavor notes achieved through various toast profiles, likening this year's bourbon to campfire treats. The 91.4 proof whiskey will retail for a suggested price of $110 per 750ml bottle. This release is expected to attract significant attention from bourbon enthusiasts, given Michter's notable reputation in the industry.
