An agreement has been reached to keep the Crozer Health system in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, operational for the immediate future amid financial distress faced by its parent company, Prospect Medical Holdings. This decision was announced by Attorney General Dave Sunday and The Foundation for Delaware County after a crucial meeting orchestrated by a Texas bankruptcy court judge. Prospect Medical Holdings, which filed for bankruptcy in January, had indicated a potential shutdown due to financial shortfalls. The Foundation for Delaware County will provide temporary funding to maintain operations at Crozer-Chester Medical Center and Taylor Hospital. The agreement aims to ensure continued healthcare access while a long-term restructuring solution is sought, crucial for the local population and nearly 3,000 jobs at stake.
