Jimi Hendrix Unreleased Tapes Up for Auction

Next month, a unique auction will feature unreleased Jimi Hendrix songs and personal memorabilia, providing fans with a rare opportunity to own a piece of music history. The auction, hosted by Propstore on November 15, will include around 50 rare tapes of master recordings that contain unheard tracks, as well as personal documents such as payslips, a request for his birth certificate, and tour itineraries. These items, collected by Patricia “Trixie” Sullivan, who worked with Hendrix's manager, showcase both his musical genius and personal life. The demo tapes, recorded in 1968, feature preliminary versions of well-known tracks, and are expected to fetch significant sums, with estimates reaching up to £200,000. This collection not only highlights Hendrix's influence on rock music but also presents a glimpse into his daily life and professional journey. The auction promises to be a pivotal event for collectors and fans alike, reflecting on Hendrix's enduring legacy.
