The National Investigation Agency (NIA) successfully extradited and arrested Tarsem Singh, a prominent associate of Khalistani terrorists Harwinder Sandhu and Lakhbir Singh, alias Landa, from the UAE. Singh, who is the brother of Landa, was wanted for his involvement in terrorism activities, including a rocket-propelled grenade attack on Punjab Police's intelligence headquarters in Mohali. His arrest follows a non-bailable warrant issued in June 2023 and an Interpol Red Corner Notice. Singh is linked to the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and has been implicated in channelling funds for terror operations in India. The NIA's ongoing investigation connects Singh to a network of proscribed organizations involved in arms smuggling and narcotics trafficking to finance terrorism. This case highlights the NIA's efforts to disrupt international terror networks operating in India.
