Matt Moore Hired as Virginia Tech Offensive Line Coach

Virginia Tech has appointed Matt Moore as the new offensive line coach, following the dismissal of Ron Crook amid a staff shakeup. Moore brings nearly three decades of coaching experience, including six seasons at West Virginia, where he served as offensive line coach and assistant head coach. Under his guidance, West Virginia's offensive line ranked among the best in the nation, finishing seventh in FBS rushing yards per game in 2024. Moore was recognized as a Broyles Award nominee in 2023 and has mentored 17 all-conference players during his career. Virginia Tech Head Coach Brent Pry expressed enthusiasm about Moore's ability to develop physically strong offensive lines, aligning with the program's vision. With a history of success in the Power Four conference, Moore is expected to significantly enhance the Hokies' offensive performance.
