Three Teens Killed, Multiple Injured in Separate I-195 Crashes Massachusetts

Two separate fatal crashes occurred recently on I-195 involving teenagers. On July 26 in Dartmouth, 19-year-old Kevin Dos Santos Lopes and 18-year-old Amilton De Pina Semedo died after being thrown from their Chevrolet Equinox during a single-vehicle crash; Lopes was remembered for his kind spirit, passion for cars, and close relationships with family and friends. On August 3 in Seekonk, 18-year-old Abriana Herrera Perez of Providence was killed in a three-vehicle crash involving a Mazda 3, a Toyota Tacoma, and a Yamaha motorcycle; three other teens and two adults were injured and hospitalized. The Seekonk crash caused a temporary shutdown of westbound traffic on I-195 while authorities investigated. The Bristol County District Attorney's Office is investigating the Seekonk incident, and Massachusetts State Police responded to both crashes. These tragedies highlight the ongoing dangers on I-195 and the profound loss felt by the communities involved.
