Eight suspected members of the Dania Hot Boyz gang, also known as the Grand Mafia, were arrested following a comprehensive investigation by the Broward Sheriff’s Office and multiple law enforcement agencies. The investigation, which began with a fingerprint found at a murder scene in January 2024, has led to the resolution of eight homicides and more than a dozen attempted murders, spanning from 2021 to 2024. The suspects, including alleged gang leader Sigmund Brown, were indicted on 33 charges, including murder, attempted murder, and racketeering. Key victims include Terrance Farrington, killed outside a Best Buy, and Johnnie Henderson, shot in Miramar. Law enforcement officials praised the effort as a significant step towards community safety, with suspects facing life sentences or the death penalty, except for the minor involved. The operation highlighted the collaborative efforts between the Broward Sheriff’s Office, State Attorney’s Office, and other law enforcement partners.
