The Canadian government has announced significant investments in infrastructure projects across various regions to support housing and environmental resilience. In Montreal, over $7.9 million will fund four active transportation projects aimed at enhancing safety and promoting sustainable mobility. In Northern Ontario, more than $40 million is allocated to build and repair 149 homes across diverse communities, addressing the housing crisis through the National Housing Strategy. Meanwhile, in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality, a $17.1 million investment will improve water infrastructure to support the development of up to 600 new housing units. Additionally, British Columbia will receive over $1.6 million for natural infrastructure projects that aim to protect local environments and increase community resilience against climate change. These initiatives reflect the government's commitment to fostering affordable housing and sustainable community development across Canada.
