Two Michigan Men Charged in Foiled ISIS-Inspired Halloween Terror Plot

Federal authorities have charged two Michigan men, Mohmed Ali and Majed Mahmoud, with conspiring to carry out an ISIS-inspired terrorist attack in the United States, planned for Halloween. The pair allegedly purchased multiple firearms, including AR-15-style rifles, and amassed significant ammunition, while practicing shooting and engaging in encrypted communications to coordinate the attack. Prosecutors say the group, which included at least one juvenile, used social media and messaging platforms to share extremist content and encourage violence, though specific attack targets have not been publicly identified.
