Las Vegas Harry Reid Airport Pilots Real-Time TSA Wait Time Displays

Harry Reid International Airport has introduced new technology that provides real-time Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint wait times on flight information display screens throughout Terminal 1. These wait times are currently visible at select locations such as the A/B checkpoint information booth, near elevators to baggage claim, the C Annex checkpoint, and ticket counters, with plans to expand the program to all flight display screens in Terminal 1, parking decks, Terminal 3, and eventually the airport's website after a pilot testing phase. Clark County Department of Aviation Director Rosemary Vassiliadis emphasized that this initiative is part of an ongoing effort to enhance the traveler experience by offering useful, timely information. Despite the new displays, travelers are advised to continue allowing ample time before flights as checkpoint wait times can fluctuate due to passenger volume and other factors. The program aims to help passengers make more informed decisions while navigating pre-security areas of the terminal. This rollout represents an innovative step toward streamlining airport security and travel processes.
