Lil Wayne Plans First Headlining Concert at Madison Square Garden for 'Tha Carter VI' Launch

Lil Wayne will release his highly anticipated album, Tha Carter VI, on June 6, coinciding with his first headlining concert at New York City's Madison Square Garden that same night. This marks both his return to solo albums since 2020's Funeral and his debut performance at the iconic venue. Tha Carter VI is distinguished by a strong emphasis on collaborations, featuring artists such as Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, MGK, Andrea Bocelli, Wayne’s son Kameron, Bono, Wyclef Jean, and more, with production credits including Ye and Wheezy. While the precise tracklist remains unconfirmed, Rolling Stone reported that Wayne and Wyclef Jean recorded approximately 30 tracks together, and one track includes an uncleared Billie Eilish sample. Tickets for the MSG concert will be available through presale on April 23 and to the general public on April 25. Wayne expressed that his goal is to be recognized as the 'best rapper,' aiming for a legacy comparable to Michael Jordan’s in basketball.
