In exchange, the Brewers will receive shortstop prospect Joey Ortiz, left-handed pitcher DL Hall, and the 34th pick in the 2024 MLB Draft. This trade concludes the duo of aces, Burnes and Brandon Woodruff, who were both traded in the offseason. Burnes is set to become a free agent after the 2024 season.
