DOOM: The Dark Ages Launches May 15, 2025

DOOM: The Dark Ages, a prequel to 2016's DOOM, is set for release on May 15, 2025, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. The latest trailer, revealed during WrestleMania 41, features a medieval-inspired world, a focus on the Doom Slayer’s origins, and battles against Hell’s forces, the Maykrs, and new Lovecraftian titans. Players will experience fast-paced combat with new mechanics such as the Saw Shield, as well as large-scale encounters involving Titan mechs and a cyborg dragon. The game places a stronger emphasis on narrative and lore, with cinematic storytelling and high-stakes confrontations. Special editions offering early access and themed hardware have also been announced. DOOM: The Dark Ages is single-player only, with campaign DLC planned post-launch.
