President Murmu Visits Maha Kumbh Mela Amid Record Turnout

President Droupadi Murmu visited the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, where she took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam and engaged in prayers at the Bade Hanuman Temple and the Akshayavat tree. Her visit, lasting eight hours, also included a tour of the Digital Maha Kumbh Experience Centre. The event, which began on January 13 and continues until February 26, is the world's largest spiritual gathering, attracting millions of devotees globally, despite a recent stampede incident. Over 410 million devotees have already participated, with strict crowd and traffic management measures in place. Murmu's visit follows a tradition of presidential participation, akin to India's first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad.
