UNLV Football Player Ben Christman Found Dead at 21

UNLV offensive lineman Ben Christman was found dead at his off-campus residence on February 11, a day after he reported experiencing chest pains during practice. A coach conducted an EKG on Christman, which returned normal results, and he was sent to the team's cardiologist. When teammates became concerned about his absence from practice, they checked on him and found him unresponsive in his room, prompting a 911 call and attempts at CPR. Medical personnel pronounced Christman dead shortly after their arrival, with no signs of foul play or suspicious items found at the scene. The Clark County Coroner's Office has yet to determine an official cause of death, although his obituary stated he passed away peacefully in his sleep from natural causes.
