Louisville Woman Charged with Murder Following Shooting Death of Ex-Boyfriend

Lanesha Blakey, a 28-year-old Louisville woman, has been arrested and charged with murder and assault following the fatal shooting of her former boyfriend, Bryant Johnson, near the Highlands. Police responded to the scene after Johnson was found shot and later died at the hospital; he had crashed his vehicle after being shot in a nearby block. The incident also resulted in minor injuries to another driver, and Blakey is alleged to have struck another woman in the face with a handgun before shooting Johnson. Surveillance footage reportedly captured the events, and Blakey was apprehended without incident. She is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections while investigators continue to prepare the case for prosecution.
