Connecticut DUI Arrests Highlight Highway Safety Concerns

Recent incidents in Connecticut have highlighted a series of DUI arrests. In Westport on I-95, Carlos Mondragon, 40, was arrested for driving well below the speed limit while swerving and possessing a weapon in his vehicle. Separately, in Norwich on I-395, John Turo, 22, of Rhode Island, was found facing the wrong way and failed sobriety tests, leading to DUI charges. Logan Mirmozaffari, 28, was arrested for driving over 130 mph on I-395 in Norwich while impaired, allegedly in a hurry to see his cat. Each individual showed signs of impairment such as the odor of alcohol and slurred speech, and they failed field sobriety tests. These arrests underscore ongoing concerns about impaired driving on Connecticut highways.
