McDonald's Relaunches $5, $8 Value Meals Nationwide

Starting September 8, McDonald's is reviving its Extra Value Meals to attract cost-conscious consumers by offering combo meals priced about 15% less than ordering items separately. Limited-time deals include an $8 Big Mac meal and a $5 Sausage McMuffin with Egg meal, both nationwide except in select states where prices are slightly higher. The menu features eight Extra Value Meal options across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including popular items like Egg McMuffins, Quarter Pounders, and 10-piece Chicken McNuggets. This pricing strategy aims to counteract declining visits from lower-income customers, who have been reducing fast-food visits due to rising costs. McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski and U.S. President Joe Erlinger emphasize the company's focus on value and affordability, with franchisees also committed to keeping menu items accessible.
