Cedar Park Police Fatally Shoot Suspect After Bar Stabbing

Cedar Park police responded just before 10 p.m. Nov. 2 to a reported stabbing at the Top Spin Bar on S. Lakeline Blvd. The victim was stabbed multiple times, taken to a hospital with serious injuries and later reported in stable condition. Officers located a suspect who had fled on a motorcycle and, after a short pursuit near Fall Creek Drive, the suspect allegedly dismounted, brandished a firearm, and two officers fired, killing the suspect on scene. The two tenured officers have been placed on paid administrative leave per department policy, and the Texas Rangers are assisting the ongoing investigation. Police have not released names or further details and say a media briefing is expected as the investigation remains active.
