BET Awards Honor Carey, Snoop Dogg, Foxx, Franklin as Ultimate Icons

The 2025 BET Awards, set for June 9 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, will honor Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx, and Kirk Franklin with the Ultimate Icon Award for their decades of contributions to music, entertainment, advocacy, and community impact. This marks the first presentation of the Ultimate Icon Award since 2019, with recipients performing including Carey, Snoop Dogg, and Franklin, while Foxx will accept without performing. Hosted by Kevin Hart, the event will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of the BET Awards and feature a tribute to the music show 106 & Park, reuniting its former hosts and past performers. Kendrick Lamar leads this year's nominations with ten, followed by artists such as Doechii, Drake, Future, and GloRilla. Performers scheduled for the ceremony include Lil Wayne, Teyana Taylor, GloRilla, Playboi Carti, and Leon Thomas. Leading up to the awards, the BET Experience festival will offer fan events and concerts in Los Angeles.
