2025 Vuelta a España Begins in Turin

The first three stages will be held in Italy, including a mountain finish at Limone Piemonte on stage 2 and a medium mountain stage on stage 3. This edition marks the sixth time the Vuelta has begun outside Spain, with previous foreign starts including locations in Portugal, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Organizers highlighted Italy's rich cycling history, noting that Italian riders have significantly contributed to the race's legacy. The official route presentation is set for December 19, and the 2026 edition will begin in Monaco. The event's return to Spanish territory will resume after the Italian stages.
