Maryland Mother Admits Beating Daughter to Death, Faces Murder Charges

Darrian Randle, a 31-year-old woman from North East, Maryland, has been charged with the murder of her 3-year-old daughter, Nola Dinkins, following an incident that triggered an Amber Alert in Delaware based on a false kidnapping report. Randle admitted to striking Nola 15 to 20 times with a belt, leading to the child's death, and subsequently lied about an armed abduction to authorities. After the child died, Randle and her boyfriend, Cedrick Britten, 44, placed Nola's body in a suitcase and left it on the basement stairs overnight before Britten abandoned the suitcase in a park. Police found human remains consistent with a child at the location Britten indicated. Both Randle and Britten face serious charges, including murder and accessory to murder, with Randle awaiting extradition to Maryland. The investigation involved cooperation between Maryland and Delaware law enforcement agencies and the FBI, and the case included surveillance footage disproving Randle's abduction claim.
