Two Men Charged in Washtenaw Drive-By Shootings
Two men, ages 21 and 22 from Ypsilanti and Belleville, have been arrested and charged in connection with nine drive-by shootings targeting homes in rural Washtenaw County, Michigan, between June 17 and June 29. The attacks primarily occurred along Tuttle Hill Road, culminating in the most recent incident near Talladay and Whitaker roads. No injuries were reported, although several homes were struck by gunfire. Police recovered a semi-automatic rifle and fired bullet casings consistent with those used in the shootings. Both suspects reportedly confessed to the random attacks and are being held at the Washtenaw County Jail on $1,000,000 bond each, pending arraignment. Authorities, including the Michigan State Police and Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office, do not believe any other individuals were involved.
