UK, Germany, Jordan Urge Immediate Ceasefire After RSF Atrocities in Sudan’s El-Fasher

The foreign ministers of the UK, Germany, and Jordan have urgently called for an immediate ceasefire in Sudan following the Rapid Support Forces' (RSF) seizure of El-Fasher in Darfur, where widespread atrocities including mass executions, ethnic killings, and sexual violence have been reported. United Nations officials and satellite imagery have confirmed the RSF's brutal actions, including the killing of over 450 people at a hospital, triggering international condemnation. British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper condemned the global failure to address the humanitarian crisis, describing the situation as apocalyptic and emphasizing that aid alone cannot resolve the crisis until fighting stops. German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul echoed these concerns, labeling Sudan's condition as dire and directly blaming the RSF. Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi highlighted the neglect Sudan has faced despite the severity of the humanitarian disaster.
