Atlanta Dream's Naz Hillmon Wins WNBA Sixth Player of Year Award
Naz Hillmon, forward for the Atlanta Dream and former Michigan standout, was named the WNBA Sixth Player of the Year, the first in franchise history to earn the award. She averaged 8.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and made 53 three-pointers after previously hitting only one in her first three seasons. Hillmon set a franchise record by appearing in 150 consecutive games and contributed significantly to the Dream's franchise-record 30 wins and No. 3 seed finish. She was second in the league in plus-minus with +7.6 per game and came off the bench in 27 of 44 games. Dream general manager Dan Padover praised her toughness, consistency, and growth, crediting the coaching staff for her development. Additionally, Hillmon recently won the AP Sixth Woman of the Year award, highlighting her impact in the league.
