Four people, including two teenagers and a married couple, died in a tragic two-car collision on the Newell Highway near Tomingley, NSW, at about 9:20 pm on Friday. Lochie Jacobs, 18, and Joey Urban, 19, were passengers in a ute that collided head-on with a van carrying Sue and Graham Tait, both aged 57. The 23-year-old driver of the ute survived with leg injuries and was taken to Dubbo Hospital. Tributes have poured in for the victims as police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. The Newell Highway remains closed in both directions, with diversions in place. This incident brings the state's road toll to 248 this year.
