Colts Honor Jim Irsay With 2025 Jersey Patch
Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay, who passed away at age 65, is being remembered for his transformative leadership, philanthropy, and advocacy for mental health, including founding the 'Kicking the Stigma' initiative. Irsay became the NFL's youngest general manager in 1984 and owner in 1997, guiding the Colts to a Super Bowl XLI win, multiple playoff berths, and the drafting of Peyton Manning. The Colts will honor Irsay during the 2025 season with a black jersey patch displaying his initials, signature, trademark smiley face, and seven grommets. A commemorative video and updated team imagery have also been released. Tributes have come from across the NFL, with former players and colleagues lauding his legacy. A private memorial service is planned, with a public tribute to be announced.
