Typhoon Trami Causes Destruction in Vietnam

Typhoon Trami has caused severe flooding and destruction across Vietnam, resulting in two deaths and one missing person in Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Binh provinces, respectively. The storm, now moving into the South China Sea, damaged over 15,000 homes, submerged agricultural land, and uprooted urban trees across several provinces, including Quang Tri and Danang City. In the Philippines, Trami caused 116 fatalities and massive evacuations, while another storm, Kong-rey, threatens to exacerbate conditions with heavy rains and winds. Trami has also affected Thailand with heavy rains and strong winds expected to persist in the Northeast and South regions.
