Multiple US Ramps Close Temporarily for Infrastructure Work

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has scheduled a temporary closure of the Terminal Drive ramp from Nashville International Airport (BNA) to I-40 westbound for milling and paving from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. on September 8, 2025, with detour signage in place. This closure, previously set for September 7, is part of the broader I-40 Interchange at Donelson Pike project, which also includes ongoing nightly lane closures on I-40 and upcoming daily lane closures on Donelson Pike for paving. Drivers are advised to plan for extra travel time and observe the Move Over Law, which carries penalties including fines and possible jail time. Additional infrastructure updates include a scheduled week-long closure of the ramp from Illinois Route 25 to eastbound I-90 starting September 16, and temporary northbound ramp closures on I-35 in Duluth, Minnesota, on September 9 for bridge beam deliveries.
