Noah Green, a 20-year-old gang member, pleaded guilty to attempted murder and related charges for a drive-by shooting that occurred outside the home of former U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin in Shirley, New York, on October 9, 2022. Green shot at three individuals, injuring two 17-year-old boys, while Zeldin's teenage daughters were inside the house during the incident. Green was arrested with the weapon used in the shooting and was among 18 defendants indicted following an investigation into the No Fake Love gang. Zeldin described the event as traumatic for his family, expressing gratitude to the law enforcement officials involved. Green is set to be sentenced to 12 years in prison on October 15, after which he will serve five years of supervised release. The case highlights ongoing issues with gang violence in Suffolk County, according to District Attorney Ray Tierney.
