Adam Lambert, Erivo Star in Hollywood Bowl Superstar

Adam Lambert has been cast as Judas and Cynthia Erivo as Jesus in a gender-blind, three-night production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' at the Hollywood Bowl, scheduled for August 1-3, 2025. The role of Mary Magdalene has not yet been announced. Directed by Tony Award winner Sergio Trujillo and musically directed by Tony and Grammy winner Stephen Oremus, the production is a fully staged event aiming to return to the musical's 1970 concept album roots. The show is expected to be one of the season's fastest sellouts due to its high-profile leads. Lambert's participation follows his acclaimed run as the Emcee in Broadway's 'Cabaret.' The event continues the Hollywood Bowl’s tradition of staging iconic musicals with star-studded casts for limited runs.
