Trey Songz Settles $20 Million Miami Sexual Assault Lawsuit
R&B singer Trey Songz, born Tremaine Neverson, has reached a confidential settlement to resolve a 2018 sexual assault lawsuit filed by Jauhara Jeffries, who accused him of non-consensually penetrating her with his fingers at Miami's E11even nightclub on New Year’s Eve. The civil case, seeking over $20 million in damages and also naming the nightclub for allegedly serving Songz alcohol despite his substance abuse history, was set to go to trial in October 2025 but was dismissed following the settlement, with the court reserving jurisdiction to enforce the agreement. Songz has denied all allegations, and neither party has disclosed settlement details. This lawsuit adds to multiple legal challenges the singer has faced, including previous settlements linked to sexual misconduct and an assault lawsuit dismissed earlier in 2025. The settlement effectively ends this high-profile case without a courtroom confrontation, though Songz faces further legal scrutiny in other matters. Both Jeffries’ and Songz’s attorneys confirmed the resolution, while representatives for E11even Miami have not commented publicly on the settlement.
