Lightwater Valley Theme Park in North Yorkshire Listed for £3 Million Sale

Lightwater Valley Family Adventure Park, a popular theme park in North Yorkshire known for its family-friendly attractions and expansive parkland, has been listed for sale with a £3 million asking price. Established in 1969 and operating under a 99-year lease with 72 years remaining, the park draws over 230,000 visitors annually and generates around £5 million in revenue. The sale includes 182-185 acres of grounds, significant infrastructure, and planning permission for additional holiday accommodations such as glamping pods. Notably, the park was once home to The Ultimate, the world's longest roller coaster from 1991 until its closure and dismantling post-pandemic in 2023. Lightwater Valley offers a more relaxed alternative to larger UK theme parks, with more than 35 rides and affordable entry prices, and it plays an important role in the region's tourism scene. The park was acquired by Brighton Pier Group in 2021 and is currently being marketed by Newmark, with the site reportedly already under offer.
