Multiple US Communities Add Pickleball Courts in Multi-Million-Dollar Park Upgrades

Several communities across the United States are expanding recreational facilities by adding pickleball courts to meet growing demand. Buffalo County, Nebraska, approved design services for two pickleball courts at Ravenna Lake, complementing its existing camping and fishing amenities. Columbus, Georgia, has commenced demolition for a 28-court pickleball complex expected to generate over $11 million in economic impact, aiming to open in early 2026 as a social hub for all ages. In Estero, Florida, plans are underway for a new lifestyle center including six indoor pickleball courts, a resort-style pool, pro shops, and restaurants, though funding details remain unclear and public input is being sought. DeWitt, Michigan, is set to begin construction on McGuire Park upgrades featuring pickleball courts, an adult fitness station, and improved river access, backed by a $190,000 state grant. Additionally, Endicott, New York, celebrated the reopening of Grippen Community Park with covered pickleball courts and other amenities after a $4 million renovation, transforming it into a vibrant community hub.
